Larrivee Tour

As part of my visit to Vancouver, B.C. last week I scheduled a tour at the Larrivee factory. I was amazed at how many intricate steps there were in making an acoustic guitar. On one side of the factory were stacked slabs of wood and on the other, a bunch of finished guitars. Start to finish in about 6 weeks.

Red Bull Air Race

Last Saturday we went to the Red Bull Air Race in San Diego. The course is marked out by air filled pylons where acrobatic pilots race against the clock for the best time. The color band of the pylon indicates whether they must pass through vertically or horizontally. If a pylon is hit, a time penalty is added and the course team relaunches another in about 3 minutes. I was lucky enough to catch a plane tearing one of the pylons open (see below). If they come back next year, you can watch for free from Coronado Island.

New Family Cat

The new family cat has arrived. Under the recommendation and pressuring of some close friends and advisers I am replacing the ever faithful Atomic (yes, it *does* have tubes) with the Classic Cat. While the Atomic/POD combo has been very good to me for the last 3 years (see earlier posts) it is time to move forward. Coming soon to a church near you, please welcome the newest member, the ...

Jocelyn Bree is Three

We had a party for Jocelyn's third birthday last weekend and so I thought it would be fun to look back at photos from her birth and her last 2 birthdays. We had a great time with family and friends at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Leeland slept most of the day in Nana's arms. Thank you Nana!

Family Day & The Stanley Cup!

We all went to Broadcom's annual "Family Day" today. The CTO's team (The Ducks) recently won the Stanley Cup so he set it up for pictures. This is officially our first family photo together. Jocelyn had cotton candy for the first time today too. She loves it!

Leeland Update

Leeland will be one week old tomorrow and already he's had lots of love from visiting family, friends and even a special time on Saturday with the band that inspired his name. Both Amy and Leeland are doing well. Amy is thankful for painkillers but Leeland thinks we're on Singapore time. We're working on getting his schedule switched. At least we're getting in some naps during the day and the nights are not as hard as they were last time. Grandma and Grandpa Wigg have also been a great help around the house and keeping Jocelyn busy so we can get some work done. Thanks guys!
